Every year, Mayor Michelle Distler hosts fundraising efforts to help a local organization or organization of her choice. For 2021, Mayor Distler has chosen both Shawnee Community Services and the local Special Olympics team Shawnee Storm to benefit from the Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund!

Meanwhile, there are several ways you can support the Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund at any time of the year.

  • Make a donation directly to the Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund in person at City Hall or by sending a check to the following address.

 City of Shawnee
Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund
11110 Johnson Drive
Shawnee, KS 66203

  • Head to Wandering Vine at the Castle at 12401 Johnson Drive for "Dine at the Vine" on Wednesday, December 1. Wandering Vine is donating a portion of the proceeds to the Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund. Limited tickets are available and reservations are required. You can learn more about the event here and call (913) 379-1300 to make your reservation.
  • Grab a "Believe in the Magic" beer at Servaes Brewery at 10921 Johnson Drive through the month of November! Servaes will donating a percentage of the special brew sales to the Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund.
  • If a business would like to hold a fundraiser, the City will support efforts by featuring business names and promotions here on our website. Please reach out to  Julie Breithaupt if you would like to set up a fundraiser for your business.

If you have any questions, we'd be happy to help answer them. You can e-mail us or call (913) 742-6202. Thank you in advance for considering donating to the Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund and, in turn, supporting local organizations that help our community.
