Open Gym Hours

Open Gym (volleyball or basketball) is FREE for Shawnee residents with a Civic Centre pass. Residents ages 18 and older can obtain a Civic Centre pass in person at the Shawnee Civic Centre (13817 Johnson Drive) with a proof of residency (a drivers license or utility bill). Residents under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian present to apply for a Civic Centre pass. Non-residents, or residents without an Civic Centre pass can participate in open gym for $5 per person. Non-residents must be accompanied by a resident. More information regarding the Open Gym policy can be found in Policy Statement PS-31.

Pickleball Play

This sport is a blend of tennis, badminton, and ping pong, created for a variety of skill levels and ages. You do not need a partner and equipment is available. Pickleball play is only available during designated hours. This activity is available M,W,F from 9:00am-12:00pm and Sundays from 5:30pm- 8:30pm. Punch cards are available at the Shawnee Civic Centre during normal business hours. Punches expire one year from date of purchase. No pickleball on 9/2, 9/8, 9/18, 9/28, 10/4.

Daytime Volleyball Play

Grab your friends and join us at the Civic Centre for open volleyball play! Bring your own volleyball. However, no teams are allowed. Volleyball is operated by a punch pass program
to allow for a flexible schedule.

Evening Volleyball Play

Join us for open volleyball play at the Shawnee Civic Centre on Mondays from 5:30-8:30pm for $5 per person. Bring your own volleyball. Teams are not allowed. Evening volleyball is first come, first serve. Pre-registration is available online or in-person. Phone registration is not available for this program.
