The eight annual PARKED event kicks off our July celebration for National Parks and Recreation Month. We will have food trucks, live band, bounce houses, vendors, activities for children, and sprinklers in the fields before ending the night with a full fireworks display. This event is free and open to the public to attend.

Mark your calendars for Friday, June 26th, 2026 at Stump Park.
The festivities kick off at 5:30pm with fireworks at 9:30pm!

Vendors and Food Trucks

Are you a local small business owner or food truck who would like to participate at this year's PARKED event? We typically see 5000-7000 people throught the evening at this event. Food trucks and vendors are both located in the parking lot. Vendor spaces are the size of a parking spot.

Both applications will be open through 11:59pm on Tuesday, March 31st.

Entertainment

We're looking for a rockin' band to set the mood for this year's event. Are you interested in taking the stage? Reach out to Shawnee Parks & Recreation!

Kids Zone

New City West Shawnee LogoThis year's kid's will feature bounce houses (5:30-8:00pm), fun, and games with New City Church West Shawnee! Bring your swim suit and towel, we will have the sprinklers on fields two and four running throughout the evening!

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring my own food and drink?
Coolers and outside food and drink are welcome. Alcohol is allowed for adults over the age of 21. Select food trucks will also be serving alcohol.
Can we bring water?
Absolutely! Stump Park can get hot, water bottles are encouraged. In addition, WaterOne will be on site with the Quench Buggy handing out ice cold water!  
Where do we park?
Event parking is available at Stump Park and on street. Parking is limited, so please consider carpooling, walking or bicycling.
Is there a shuttle available?
A shuttle service will be available to and from Riverview Elementary 21550 W 47th St, Shawnee, KS 66226. The shuttle will run beginning at 5:30pm. The shuttle will run throughout the evening.
How much does the event cost?
This event is free and open to the public. Each food truck and vendor sets their own prices. Most vendors accept debit/credit cards, but some may be cash only and there is no ATM on site.
Where do we sit?
Picnic blankets and portable chairs are welcome and encouraged! There is a very limited number of picnic tables and benches available. 
Can I bring my pet?
Due to the nature of the event, pets are discouraged from attending. Service dogs are welcome. No other pets, please.
Are there restrooms?
Stump Park has limited restrooms, but portable toilets will also be available.
What kind of entertainment will be available?
There will be a band, vendors, food trucks, kids zone, and fireworks. Check out our website and social media for updates and details on entertainment. All entertainment is free. The fireworks begin at 9:30pm.
What time are fireworks?
Fireworks begin at 9:30pm. The event is over at the conclusion of the fireworks.
