It's a ruff life, but some dog has to do it! Mayor Michelle Distler is looking for the most perfect pooch to rep our City. So get Fido fancy for his close-up, snap a pic and send it in. Entry fees are $10 per dog and that money goes straight to the Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund that benefits local charities every year.
- Register your perfect pooch at this link between July 5 and August 28 at 5 p.m.
- Send ONLY ONE picture of your dog to [email protected] by August 28 at 5 p.m.
- After the deadline, we will post a Facebook album with all the dogs' pictures. You will be able check out all the perfect pooch pics and "like" your favorite.
- The dog that gets the most "likes" by September 2 at 5 p.m. will be Shawnee's Top Dog!
- Your pooch gets to lead the Pet Costume Parade at the October Moonlight Market, Shawnee swag, a custom dog tag, recognition at a City Council meeting, a special spot in the next CityLine and bragging rights.
