Where can I get more information on availability?
Parties are available Monday-Friday at 1:30pm, 3:30pm, and 5:30pm. Parties are available Saturday and Sundays at 12:30pm, 2:30pm, and 4:30pm. Although pool admission is good all day, your time in the party room is limited to 90 minutes. Due to scheduling, you will be unable to access the party room/cabana until your party time. You must remove all your belongings from the party room by the end of your rental. For a schedule of available dates and times, please contact Brenda. Please note, party dates can only be confirmed when BOTH payment and contract have been received and processed.

What is the cost of a party?
Party packages range from $15-$20 per party guest. Each party has a minimum of 8 guests. In order to book your party, we will need payment for these 8 guests. Each party can accommodate up to 24 guests. Your final cost will be dependent upon the package you choose and the number of party guests.
A staff member will reach out to you the week of your party to get your final headcount and payment. We are unable to take payment for any additional party guests at the pool, all party guests must be paid for in advance. 

Can we rent just the party room/cabana?
Yes you can rent just the party room at The Thomas A. Soetaert Aquatic Center or the Party Cabana at Splash Cove. This rental is $100 for a 1 ½ hour time slot. Please keep in mind that no food, drink, party favors, or admission is included in this. This rental is for the room only and any admission ($6 for residents and $10 for non-residents) must be paid at the door. 

Who will help us out the day of the event?
Pool staff will escort you to the party room and answer any questions you may have. They will deliver your food and drink at the time you scheduled. For smooth operation, pool staff may be pulled away from parties for general facility needs.

Who should I include in my party headcount?
Anyone you include in your party headcount will receive admission, food , drink, and party favors (only available with the Extravaganza package). All of these guests must be paid at least 48 hours in advance. 

If you have adults who are attending but will not be partaking in food, drink, and party favors, they will need to pay general gate admission ($6 for Shawnee residents and $10 for non-residents). If you choose to pay the daily fee for your guests, admission will be collected in its entirety within fifteen minutes of your party start time.
There is no charge for any friends and family that will not be eating or swimming. However, these guests must stay in the cabana/party room and cannot be on the pool deck. They will not be able to enter the facility until your scheduled time in the cabana/party room and must exit the facility at the conclusion of the rental time. 

Do you allow substitutions to the party packages?
Due to the pricing structure of the package, we are unable to allow substitutions. 

What if we have food allergies?
In the instance of allergies, substitutions will be considered on a case by case basis. These substitutions will be items of equal value.

Can we bring outside food and drink?
Yes, outside food and drink are welcome! Any outside food/drink must stay in the room/cabana. No alcohol is allowed. If you would like to order extra pizzas, we can provide that for $15/pizza.

Are you able to refrigerate outside food and drink?
Unfortunately, we cannot put any outside food or drink in our refrigerators per the health department. You are however welcome to bring in your coolers, but they must be kept in the party room. You can check them with the front desk prior to your party time if you choose to arrive early to swim.

I am ready to book! What should I do next?
You can check availability by calling 913-631-5200 or by emailing Brenda McLellan. Please be aware that we process a high volume of pool parties during the summer months and the availability is changing often. Pool parties are first come, first serve.

Once you have selected a date and time, please complete the pool party registration form and the party agreement and return it to Brenda McLellan or bring it to the Shawnee Civic Centre at 13817 Johnson Drive. Once we have received your completed request, we will reach out to you for payment. The deposit of 8 guests will be due at the time of rental. Pool party rentals are processed Tuesday-Friday from 11am-7pm. Please note your party date and time are not confirmed until a receipt of transaction is received.
