This Division also serves the public by responding as needed for emergency clean-up and repair operations in the aftermath of severe weather and other natural disasters that affect the normal use of the City's public right-of way. The Field Operations Division is a division of the Public Works Department.
The responsibilities of this group include all public maintenance
activities on public right-of-ways along with maintenance of public
stormwater drainage facilities. Some of the more common maintenance
activities performed by this group are street sweeping, pothole patching,
right-of-way mowing, street resurfacing, snow removal and ice control
operations, installing traffic signs, renewing pavement markings and
repairing stormwater drainage facilities.
