Splash and grow with your child this summer with Little Flippers. Parents will teach their children the fundamentals of swimming including playing fun aquatic games that will increase your child’s comfort level in the water. 5 – 30 minutes sessions Cost: $30.00
Sessions and Times
Session 1 - 6/2/08-6/06/08 Session 2 - 6/16/08-6/20/08 Session 3 - 6/30/08-7/3/08, 07/07/08 Session 4 - 7/14/08-7/18/08
Lil’ Sharks (ages 3 – 5) Children will learn basic water skills: water adjustment, water entries, assisted front and black floats, and glides. As children progress they will learn to submerge, front float and back float on their own, and begin introductions to the front crawl stroke. 8 – 30 minute lessons Cost: $40.00
Progressive Swim Lessons (ages 5 and up)

*New* ADULT SWIM LESSONS Interested in learning how to swim in a comfortable and relaxed setting? The City of Shawnee is offering six - 45 minute adult lessons to those with little or no swimming ability. Participants will work at their own pace with the instructor learning basic strokes and survival skills. Class size is limited to ensure each participant receives greater interaction with the instructor. Date: June 9 – July 14 (Mondays Only) Time: 8:15-9:00 pm Cost: $40.00 |

Little Flippers (ages 18 months – 3 years)
Shawnee Swim Lessons have a unique style of their own.
These are a progressive style lesson based on the concept that each
child works at his or her own level; these lessons provide a great
learning experience for children. At the end of the first class each
child will be placed in the appropriate level and will advance at his or
her own pace.
