 Police Services...We've Moved!
Wednesday, September 17, 2008, the Shawnee Police Department has
ceased all operations out of the building located at 6535 Quivira. The
Police Department has moved all of its operations to the new Justice
Center located on the campus at 5850 Renner Road at the corner of
Johnson Drive and Renner Road.

The Shawnee Police Department will continue its move to the new
location at 5850 Renner Road on Wednesday, September 17, 2008. Please
check below on how to access these police services:
- Communications Unit: The Communications Unit will start
its move from the location at 6535 Quivira to the new location at
5850 Renner on this date. During the transition to the new station
all calls into the Communications Unit for police services will be
answered by a Shawnee Police dispatcher. This includes all 911 and
non-emergency phone calls made to 913-631-2155.
- Police Report: You can still make a police report at the
station located at 6535 Quivira at any time during the move to the
new station 24 hours a day seven days a week as usual. Starting on
Monday, September 15, 2008, at 8:00 am, you can come to either
station 24 hours a day seven days a week located at 6535 Quivira or
the new station located at 5850 Renner to make a police report.
There will be dispatchers and officers stationed at both locations
to assist you with making a police report.

As of the close of regular business hours at 5:00 pm on Friday,
September 19, 2008, the Shawnee Police Department will cease all
operations from the station located at 6535 Quivira and the public will
need to come to the new station located at 5850 Renner Road for police
services.
The phone numbers for the department will remain the same; 911 for
emergencies, and 913-631-2155 for all other needs. If you have any
questions, please ask any employee of the Shawnee Police Department.
Shawnee Municipal Court
to Move
On Monday, September 29, 2008, Shawnee Municipal Court will open its doors in the
new Justice Center located at 5860 Renner Road. The Court will occupy
the west wing of the new facility approved by voters.
To facilitate the move, the Municipal Court will close at 5:00 p.m.,
Wednesday, September 24, at its current location in City Hall and will
reopen in its new location at 8:00 a.m., Monday, September 29, 2008.
Moving the Municipal Court to the new Justice Center will address
overcrowding issues and the growing needs of the City's court system.

and 913-962-0983 (fax).
Court hours will also remain the same: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00
p.m.
