Police Procedures
The Shawnee Police Officers are available to take Police Reports and
respond to emergency situations 24-hours a day, 7-days a week by calling
9-1-1.
- Records hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
- Accident reports are available at a cost of
$4.00. Please wait five
working days before requesting a copy of your report.
- Please call (913) 631-2155, if you want information about obtaining
other police reports.
Criminal History Checks

A criminal history check must be requested in person Monday - Friday between the
hours of 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.

A picture ID is required.

Criminal history checks are only available for the last 8 years
and only for the years of Shawnee residency.

When requesting criminal history information for adoption
requirements, both parties must be present.
Fingerprints

Fingerprints are available Monday - Friday during the hours of 8:30 am - 11:00 am
and 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm.

Fingerprints services are only available to Shawnee residents and individuals
who work in Shawnee.

A photo ID is required as well as proof of residency or employment
in the City of Shawnee.

Fingerprints cost $10.00 per set.
Making a Police Report
To make a report, there are two options:

Call Police Dispatch (913) 631-2150 and a police officer will contact
you within Shawnee city limits; or
-
Come to the Police Station, 6535 Quivira, and speak with an officer.
The Police Department only takes reports on crimes that occur within
the City of Shawnee. Phone-in reports are not available.
