Field Reservations

The City of Shawnee has a number of beautiful local parks with a variety of baseball/softball fields and open sports fields for use by the public. These fields are available by reservation and permit for team practices or other scheduled recreational activities. When the fields are not reserved they can be used on a first come first served basis.

Sports fields available for use:

• Garrett Park (47th St. and Anderson)
• Listowel Park (71st and Quivira)
• Quivira Glen Park (51st and Summit)
• West Flanders Park (55th and Nieman)
• Herman Laird Park (Johnson Dr. and Cody)

Reservations for the fields are available in one hour increments for Spring/Summer sports and Fall/Winter sports. Athletic organizations can submit applications for practice use only between January 2nd and January 31st for Spring/Summer sports and between July 1st and July 15th for Fall/Winter sports. Shawnee residents and business owners can submit applications for practice or game use between February 4th and March 15th for Spring/Summer sports and between July 16th and September 1st for Fall/Winter sports. The $3.50 per one hour time slot must be paid in full in order to receive the usage permit.

• Gum Springs Park (67th and Cody)
• Garrett Park (47th and Anderson)
• Water District Field (49th and Garnett)
• Listowel Park (71st and Quivira)
• Swarner Park (63rd and Lackman)
• Stump Park (47th and Woodland)

Reservations for baseball/softball fields are accepted for 1 ½ hour increments for Spring/Summer sports and Fall/Winter sports. Athletic organizations can submit applications to use for games only between January 2nd and January 31st for Spring/Summer sports and between July 1st and July 31st for Fall/Winter sports. Shawnee residents and business owners can submit applications to use the fields for games or practices between February 4th and March 15th for Spring/Summer sports and between July 16th and September 1st for Fall/Winter sports. A reservation fee of $5.25 per 1-1/2 hour time slot must be paid in full when the application is submitted.

All applications must be made in person at the Shawnee Civic Centre, 13817 Johnson Drive. No phone reservations will be accepted. Any applications received from citizens or business owners before the designated dates will be returned.
