Station 1 Equipment - 6501 Quivira
Station 1 makes up one half of the Shawnee Safety Center. The police department
occupies the other half. The fire department administrative offices are
located here. It is also the location of one of the busiest engine
companies in Johnson County; Engine 71. The station is staffed 24 hours
and is the primary response station for our volunteers. This station has
many different types of response vehicles including the battalion chief,
fire engines, a quint, a heavy rescue, a squad and two boats. Johnson
County Med-Act also has a unit staffed in this station.

Station 2 Equipment - 19210 Midland Drive
Shawnee Station 2 is strategically located near I-435 and Shawnee
Mission Parkway. It is adjacent the entrance to the Streamway Trails
system and Shawnee Mission Park. The Firefighters stationed there have
specialized equipment to help with the rescues associated with highway
operations and pedestrian, cyclist emergencies that occur in the park.

Station 3 Equipment - 6805 Hedge Lane Terrace
Station 3 is the newest addition to the Shawnee Fire Department built
to accommodate growth in the western portion of the City. This area still
has a large agricultural base and has wildland near the Kaw River. Station
3 has apparatus which are suited to large water supply operations that
could be needed in this area. The Shawnee Fire Department houses a 1000
gallon engine with drafting capability as well as being the main
storehouse for our fleet of antique fire apparatus. Station 3 is also home
to a Johnson County Med-Act paramedic advance response vehicle.
