Alcohol Liquor License (Liquor Store)

A valid license is required for any person or business to sell alcoholic liquor, including beer containing more that 3.2% alcohol by weight, for consumption off the premises and/or in the original package.

Regulations

• No sales to anyone under the age of 21
• No sales between 11:00 pm and 9:00 am on any day when the sale is permitted
• No sales on Sundays before noon or after 8:00 p.m.
• No sales on Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day
• All licenses shall be valid for one calendar year (January 1 to December 31)
• Renewal licenses must be submitted no later than twenty-five days prior to the end of the license year

The completed application, a copy of a State license and fee must be submitted by mail or in person to Licensing Division, 11110 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS 66203.

Fees

• Liquor Store fee $250.00 yearly

This fee is non-refundable and no prorated fee is available.
