Deadline for Voter Registration Fast Approaching

On Tuesday, February 28th from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. the City of Shawnee will hold a Primary Election for the position of Mayor. The three candidates for Mayor are: Jeff Meyers, Eric Jenkins, and John Patrick Segale.

Check the Johnson County Election Office website to verify that you are registered to vote, or that your voter registration is up-to-date. This voter search will also provide information about your polling location and your current representatives.

The last day to register to vote or to update your registration information for the Primary Election is Tuesday, February 7th. Click here to register to vote on-line, or to get a printable voter registration form that you can print, fill out, and send to the Johnson County Election Office. You can also register to vote at the City Clerk’s Office inside Shawnee City Hall.

Not sure you can make it to the polls on February 28th? Johnson County offers Advance Voting by mail and in person. Advance Voting by mail begins 20 days prior to each election. Beginning February 21 the Johnson County Election office will be offering in-person Advance Voting at the Johnson County Election Office. To get an application, to request a mail ballot, or to get dates and times of in-person Advance Voting, or for more general information about Advance Voting please visit the Johnson County Election Office.
