Dawn Kuhn was sworn into office as a Ward III Councilmember in April 2004. Dawn and her husband Daniel and son Alexander moved to Shawnee September 2002. She attended Illinois State University.

Dawn Kuhn has received training in the Shawnee Leadership for Tomorrow Program 2004, and the National League of Cities Leadership Program that she has currently achieved Bronze Level Certification. She works as a Vice President for Bank Midwest. Her organizational memberships include: Shawnee Area Chamber of Commerce, Shawnee Economics Development Council, Old Shawnee Days Committee, and Rotary Club.
