Ready To Respond
Are You Ready? No matter what the event, you can take steps now to PREPARE yourself, your family and your co-workers for any type of emergency. Proper preparation requires a PLAN. This site is designed to keep you INFORMED about the steps in preparing your plan to keep you and your family safe should a disaster or other type of emergency occur.
Make a Plan
A thorough and practiced plan can help you keep track of family members in any emergency.
Get a Kit
Gather necessary items and information for your family's emergency preparedness kit. Example pictures below include a Car Emergency City, which includes items like booster cables, blankets, cat litter (for traction), water, flashlights, ice scrapers, etc. Also below is an example of a Household Emergency Kit with items such as non-perishable food products, water, first aid items, blankets, flashlights, etc.
Stay tuned to sources of information before, during and after an emergency.
We all have a role to play in keeping our hometowns safe. Contact local volunteer organizations to find out how you can contribute.
