Mill Creek Watershed Study
Johnson County Public Works has prepared a stormwater flood management plan for the Mill Creek Watershed. Mill Creek Watershed includes approximately 65 square miles of rapidly developing land in Olathe, Lenexa and Shawnee. The general area of the watershed is the Kansas River to the north, Neiman Road to the east, I-35 to the southeast and K-7 to the west and southwest.
The study has been completed, and two public meetings have been held to discuss this watershed study. This study has been used to update the FEMA floodplain maps for this region of Shawnee.
