Project Description: Construction of a Justice Center complex including Police and Courts facilities, as well as a new Fire Station No. 2 and associated landscaping, parking, and site improvements. This project is funded by a 1/8th cent public safety sales tax approved in November, 2004 (effective April 1, 2005). The project budget is $22.6 million.

Project Status: Construction began March 26th, 2007 and substantial completion will be achieved by August 28th, 2008. Currently, site grading, building footings, structural masonry and some utility work has been completed on the site.

The City Council approved a resolution authorizing the City to issue general obligation bonds for constructing and equipping the Justice Center and Fire Station No. 2 project on February 26, 2007.  The expected completion date for this project is Fall 2008.
