How can I get a street light or traffic signal fixed?
Contact the Engineering Division (913) 631-2500 x230 or E-Mail regarding a street light or traffic signal that is not working correctly. City staff will then contact the appropriate utility or contractor responsible for the repair work.
How do I get a street, alley, plat or easement vacated?
Contact the Engineering Division (913) 631-2500 x238 or E-Mail.
Who do I call about a sidewalk, curb or street problem?
Contact the Engineering Division (913) 631-2500 x230 or E-Mail with the location and a description of the problem. A service request will be issued for a technician to investigate the problem. A work order will then be issued for the Field Operations Division to take the necessary action to correct the problem.
How can I find out if my property is in the floodplain?
Contact the Engineering Division (913) 631-2500 x238 or E-Mail with the address or location of the property in question. The Engineering Division has FEMA maps to locate flood plain designations. Staff will fill out and mail you a form that includes the page number and date of the FEMA maps.
Who do I call about a street sign questions?
Contact the Engineering Division (913) 631-2500, x-238 E-Mail with the address or location of the sign. Street name signs, speed limit signs, and stop signs on public streets are maintained by our Traffic Division. A service request will be issued to check the location for the appropriate repair needed.
