Building Permit Guidelines - Parabolic Antennas (Satelite Dish)
A permit is required for any antenna more than 1 meter in diameter on
residential lots and for antennas more than 2 meters in diameter on commercial or
industrial lots.

Parabolic Antenna Requirements:
- Parabolic antennas more than 12' in height are not allowed.
- Only one antenna is allowed on any residential lot zoned RE or less.
- Parabolic antennas must be located in the rear yard at a
distance inside the property line at least equal to its height and not less than 15' from
the house, as measured from the closest portion of the dish in any position.
- Antennas must be white, gray, or black in color.
Planning Department approval for color scheme and
screening is required on any antenna used by a commercial location.
- Commercial antennas can be roof mounted.
Fees: $20.00 for residential permits and $50.00 for commercial permits
